Global Warming and Propaganda

Today I read the most interesting article on the effects of global warming, although it is outdated it provided me with a new perspective into the debate.

Tom DeWeese who is the publisher/editor of The DeWeese Report and president of the American Policy Center, a grassroots, activist think tank headquartered in Warrenton, Virginia responds to a letter form an elementary school student. The student (with obvious help from her teacher) asks DeWeese why he is a skeptic of global warming given the facts the Al Gore provides in this movie the incontinent truth.

DeWeese explains that the media as well as the government are persuading citizens to believe in the horrors of global warming in order to satisfy their own agendas.

”The U.S. government will issue over $6.5 billion in grants in 2007. Politicians use global warming as an excuse to create what we call “pork barrel” alternative energy projects. That means they are able to put more than $14 billion into the hands of friends or corporations who in turn donate to their election campaigns. In all, there is more than $20 billion being spent by government, foundations, corporations and environmental activist groups to promote the hysteria of global warming. Each has either money or power to gain.”

Check out the article, its written in a letter format so its interesting to read, and also makes you feel good about this warm weather!

Not so sure I’m a global warming believer

On the road to employment

So since I am on the epic job search I feel that is time to start documenting the experience.

As of now I have applied to over 100 places, looking for a job.

I’m wondering now if that is even enough to start complaining…well someone is going to have to let me know.

My major accomplishment thus far would be emailing Ellen…yes the ELLEN, to see if she would help me out on my job search, so all we can do is wait!

Looking for a job sucks…Just sayen  I Can do all these things btw
